Eastern Kentucky owned a 12-stroke advantage over the Hoosiers following the first round, but Indiana out-shot the Colonels by 18 strokes in round number two to gain a six-stroke edge of their own heading into Sunday's final round. The arch-rival Purdue Boilermakers are also in contention for the team title, needing to make up 18 strokes on the final day to pull even with the Cream and Crimson.
After the first 36 of holes of the 54-hole event, four Hoosiers can be found in the individual top-10. As previously mentioned, Campillo is tied for first at 135 (68-67) while David Erdy trails by just three strokes and sits in third place with rounds of 70 and 68 (138).
A pair of players on the Indiana `B' team also cracked the top-10. Chase Wright carded back-to-back 70s for a 140-total that slots him fourth on the individual leaderboard. Drew Allenspach is not far behind in a share for seventh place. Allenspach followed up his opening round 70 with a 72 in his second trip around the course.
Alex Martin was the next best performer for IU on day one. The Middletown, Ohio native posted a 144, good for a share of 13th place.
