Belcher Takes Part in Collegiate All-Star Golf Trip

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University women's golf rising senior Kellye Belcher has been selected to be part of the 26th annual Collegiate All-Star Golf Team that will compete in a series of tournaments in Asia over the next month. She is part of a 10-person team that will play the NCAA All-Star Invitational at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles, Calif. on June 25, before leaving for a tour of Asia from June 26 through July 12.
The 11 tournaments in Asia will be held in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and China. Members of the team include Lalita Boonnoppornkul (UCLA), Annie Brophy (Notre Dame, sister of IU assistant coach Katie Brophy), Felicia Eastick (Oregon), Michelle Grilli (Princeton), Amanda Keith (BYU), Liisa Kelo (Arizona State), Harriet Oweers-Bradley (Yale), Brittany Smith (UC Davis) and Christina Stockton (San Francisco).
Belcher recently completed her junior season at Indiana where she finished third on the team in stroke average (77.32) and posted a season-best finish of tied for 12th at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawai'i. Overall she finished in the top 25 at four tournaments during the 2008-09 season.
