Alex Martin Wins Ohio Amateur Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Alex Martin, a senior on the 2009-10 IU Men's Golf team, won the 2009 Ohio Amateur Championship. The Middletown, Ohio native beat the rest of the field by five strokes after carding a four-round, five-under score of 283 (71-73-70-69).

Martin has had previous success at the Ohio Amateur, tying for second place in 2008 and placing 19th in 2007. This season's Ohio Amateur was played at the Moraine Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
