Hoosiers To Make Four Appearances on Big Ten Network

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's soccer team will make at least four appearances on the Big Ten Network during the 2009 season, it was announced Thursday.
Indiana's television appearances begin on Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. ET as the Hoosiers take on Wake Forest on day two of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic. Wake Forest posted a 21-2-1 record in 2008 and advanced to the NCAA College Cup. This is the third meeting between the schools with IU holding a 2-0 advantage.
The Hoosiers' Oct. 10 matchup at Michigan will also be broadcast live with a 3:30 p.m. ET start time. Indiana and the Wolverines met three times during the 2008 season, with IU coming away victorious in two of those three matches.
Defending conference champion Michigan State takes on the Hoosiers on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium on Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. ET. IU will be looking to avenge a pair of losses to the Spartans last season, including the Big Ten Tournament title match.
Indiana's match at Northwestern on Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. ET rounds out its regular season broadcast schedule. The Hoosiers posted a 2-0 win over the Wildcats last season and hold a 23-1-1 advantage in the series.
In addition to a total of 10 regular-season matches, the Big Ten Network will also televise the semifinal and final matches of the 2009 Big Ten Tournament, to be played Nov. 13 and 15 on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium.
