BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball will have at least three chances to showcase their talents live on national television during the 2009 season. Both matches versus Purdue are part of the Big Ten Network's broadcast schedule while an Oct. 23 match at Penn State has been picked up by ESPNU.
The Hoosiers take the court against Purdue on Sept. 30 (away) and Nov. 4 (home). The Monon Spike, a sister trophy of football's Old Oaken Bucket, is up for grabs in the second match, to be played in Bloomington at University Gym. Each contest against the Boilermakers is set for a 7 p.m. start time.
Coverage of the Indiana vs. Penn State showdown will start at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.
In addition, BigTenNetwork.com is set to broadcast numerous volleyball matches. However, their broadcast schedule has not yet been released.
IU Volleyball begins the '09 campaign with a three-match preseason tournament hosted by the University of Houston from Aug. 28-29. The opponents out in Texas are Southeastern Louisiana, New Orleans and the Houston Cougars. Live audio broadcasts for all Hoosier volleyball matches can be heard right here at IUHoosiers.com.
