Western Michigan Game Captains Announced

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch announced seniors Bryan Payton (running back), Austin Thomas (safety) and Matt Mayberry (linebacker) and junior Tyler Replogle (linebacker) will serve as captains for the team's meeting with Western Michigan on Saturday.
Lynch will announce captains prior to each game. The team will select this year's permanent captains upon the conclusion of the season.
Linebacker Will Patterson, defensive end Jammie Kirlew, left tackle Rodger Saffold and quarterback Ben Chappell were game captains for the team's season opener against Eastern Kentucky.
Following its season-opening victory over Eastern Kentucky, IU (1-0) hosts Western Michigan (0-1) at Memorial Stadium (52,692). Kickoff is set for noon EDT and the game will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
Former Hoosier players and coaches will return to Bloomington this weekend in celebration of the 125th year of IU Football. All of the former Hoosiers will be honored on the field during the game.
Matt Devlin will handle play-by-play duties and he will be joined by analyst Anthony Herron and sideline reporter Larra Overton. The game can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Pete Compise (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the call.
