IU Athletics Helps Out with Hoosiers Outrun Cancer

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Members of several Indiana Athletics teams helped out with the 10th Annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The event is a 5K run/walk, a one-mile family walk and a one-mile competitive kids' run. The Hoosiers Outrun Cancer event is the main source of funding for the Olcott Center for Cancer Education at Bloomington Hospital.

The entire Indiana women's basketball team helped out with the event, participated in the one-mile walk and helped pass out awards following each race. Fourteen members of the football team also joined in helping at the event.
