WALLMAN'S THOUGHTS
• "University Ridge is a course we are familiar with. We have won there before and we played there last year at the Badger (Invitational), so it is not a course that is intimidating. It is a vary fair test and it is something we feel comfortable on."
• "This is a Big Ten preview. I think the top five teams are going to be Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State, Northwestern and Indiana. I think it will be a real slugfest between those teams. Wisconsin, on their home course, should be pretty good. It will be a really interesting event."
• "With our lineup last week we got really good play our of all of them at different times. And Katie Coons is going to make her collegiate debut, so we are really excited about that."
• "Laura had a really solid tournament. She is establishing herself as one of the premier players in the conference."
• "Anita was very solid and had an opportunity to post some low numbers and was on the edge of getting the momentum to get that done."
• "Kellye really hung in there last week. It was not a good ball striking week for her and that happens in golf. But she found a way to gut out two pretty good rounds for us."
• Pamela continues to shine. She has been solid and manages herself well. I don't see any reason why she wouldn't continue that trend up in Wisconsin."
• "Cecilia played really solid. She played a lot better than she scored. She struggled on the greens. So she has worked on her putting and I think she will be good to go this weekend."
• "Katie had a good week of qualifying. She has made a lot of strides with her mental game. I think she will have a pretty good start."
• "I am excited about where we are heading. We have had fairly high finishes the last two weeks, but we really haven't put it together. I think that is a process of learning, being patient and being better conditioned."
• "The depth of this team is really good. The competition for traveling spots is really good. I feel good about where we are at right now, but with that I think we have a lot of room to go."
BRANCH LAW FIRM RECAP
• The Hoosiers posted an eighth-place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational with rounds of 297-296-301 for a total of 894.
• Last year IU placed ninth at the tournament with a score of 914.
