Hello in 2010!!! From -4 degrees we went to 45, so we had snowless Christmas in Poland. On Christmas Eve we had a traditional Polish supper with my grandparents. In Poland we open our presents that night right after eating (yes, we don't like to wait till next morning).
On Christmas day we drove to the city of Szczyrk, where we saw the best Polish ski jumpers at the Polish ski jumping championship competition. We also tried traditional Goralian dishes. Right after Christmas we drove to Lodz, because my dad had to be at his volleyball practices. Between practices we had some time to walk around this beautiful city, and shop in Manufaktura-the biggest shopping mall in Europe.
New Year's Eve I spent with my best friends at home. We had some little fireworks, and a symbolic glass of champagne right after midnight.
Winter break was good but I already feel that it's time to come back to work. I'm excited for this year, especially for our team trip to Europe and the fall season (I believe it'll be our best yet). See you in Bloomington!!!
