BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men’s tennis coach Randy Bloemendaal has announced that Indiana will host a USTA Campus Kids Day event on February 6, 2010. The event will take place alongside a men’s tennis doubleheader, as the Hoosiers will square off with Tennessee Tech and Butler that day as well. The event will include a poster giveaway, autographs and free pizza. Admission will be free to all.
Campus Kids Days are an initiative by the United States Tennis Association designed to expose more junior players (and their parents and coaches) to college tennis matches, exposing them to the fun and excitement of college tennis.
The Hoosiers will square off with Tennessee Tech at 10 a.m. ET on Feb. 6. The autograph session will begin at 2:30 p.m., with all of IU’s players available. Spectators will be able to enjoy free pizza at 4 p.m., when the Hoosiers will square off with the Butler Bulldogs.
Indiana men’s tennis opens the 2010 season on Friday, January 8, when they will take part in the UNLV Spring Invitational. For complete coverage of IU men’s tennis, stay tuned to IUHoosiers.com.
