Hoosiers Play Host to Iowa and Villanova This Weekend

GAMEDAY INFO
The Hoosiers will play host to Iowa on Friday, Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. ET and Villanova on Sunday, Oct. 17 at Noon ET on the IU Hockey Field in Bloomington.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Iowa enters Friday's game with a 3-9 overall mark and is looking for its first Big Ten win with an 0-3 league record. The Hawkeyes' last win was a 1-0 victory over Central Michigan on Sept. 26. Iowa is led by Jessica Barnett with six goals on 43 shots for 12 points on the season.
Villanova currently stands at 4-7 overall and will face Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, Oct. 13 and Louisville on Saturday, Oct. 16, before facing the Hoosiers on Sunday. The Wildcats are led by Dana Ramsden with six goals on 25 shots, to go along with two assists, for 14 points in 11 games.
SERIES HISTORY
Iowa leads the all-time series with Indiana, 9-3, however, the Hoosiers won the last meeting, 2-1, in Iowa City on Oct. 2. IU and Villanova have only met once with the Hoosiers leading the series, 1-0, after a 3-1 win on Sept. 15, 2002 in Bloomington.

The Hoosiers are encouraging all IU freshmen to attend Friday's game against Iowa by participating in the LLC Dorm Challenge. Swipe your student ID card at the Crimson Club table to support your dorm and the Hoosiers. Friday is also IU Athletics Staff Day. On Sunday, the Hoosiers want everyone to wear pink to their Pink Out! in support of breast cancer awareness. All fans will have the chance to win a free 30 minute massage from Goode Integrative Healthcare.
IU GOES 2-1 LAST WEEK
After coming from behind to score a goal at the end of regulation and another in overtime to top No. 7 Louisville, 3-2, on Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Hoosiers went on to go 1-1 over the weekend in Evanston, falling to Northwestern, 4-2, on Friday, Oct. 8 and beating UC Davis, 1-0, on Sunday, Oct. 9. After scoring two of IU's three goals against the Cardinals, redshirt junior Brenna Moeljadi scored her third goal of the week against Northwestern and assisted on senior Kelsey Kiper's goal against the Wildcats. In Indiana's game against UC Davis, sophomore Shareyna Chang scored the game-winner at the 43rd minute to give the Hoosiers' their seventh win of the year.

In this week's Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, Indiana received four votes.
HOOSIER NOTABLES
• Brenna Moeljadi leads Indiana with five goals on the season. She's taken 18 shots on goal for a percentage of .643 and has tallied 12 points, including a pair of assists.
• Becky Pany has 59 saves in 10 starts this year and a 1.34 goals against average.
• IU's win at Bucknell was its first by way of penalty strokes in program history. The last time the Hoosiers played to strokes was on Sept. 7, 2001, when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Stanford.
• Nine Hoosiers have scored at least one goal for Indiana in 12 games, with Moeljadi scoring five and Shareyna Chang scoring four.
• Morgan Fleetwood has recorded 35 shots in 12 games, raising her career total to 124, ranking fifth all-time in the IU record book.
