IU Field Hockey Plays Host to No. 10 Louisville Tuesday

The Hoosiers will play host to No. 10 Louisville on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at the IU Hockey Field for a 3 p.m. ET game. The first 200 fans will receive an IU Rally Towel and B97 will be on hand for a live remote.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
No. 10 Louisville enters Tuesday's game with a 8-3 overall record after winning their last two games. On Saturday, Oct. 2, the Cardinals knocked off No. 5 UConn, 3-2, in overtime. Louisville followed that up with a 7-0 win over Saint Louis on Sunday, Oct. 3. The Cardinals are led by Nicole Youman with 12 goals on 71 shots, to go along with 11 assists for 35 points.
LAST TIME
The Hoosiers defeated the Cardinals, 2-1, in Louisville on Sept. 6, 2009. However, Louisville leads the all-time series, 6-3, winning three consecutive meetings between the 2006-08 seasons.
HOOSIERS FALL TO NO. 7 OHIO STATE
The Indiana field hockey team suffered a 4-1 loss to No. 7 Ohio State in Bloomington on Saturday, Oct. 2. The Hoosiers lone goal was scored by junior Jaclyn Milici at the 42:11 mark in the second half.
The Buckeyes got on the board just six minutes into the first half as Berta Queralt scored on a rebound. The next two goals for OSU came on corners, one at the 20:51 mark and the other at the 27:12 mark. The Hoosiers cut Ohio State's lead to two, 3-1, as Milici scored off a rebound on a shot by freshman Danielle McNally at the 42:11 mark to give Indiana a little momentum in the second half. However, the Buckeyes scored the final goal of the game at the 47:31 mark on another corner to seal the 4-1 win.
Redshirt sophomore Morgan Fleetwood took a team-high two shots on goal, while Milici took one shot on goal for IU's only goal and McNally took one shot on goal and added an assist. Redshirt junior Brenna Moeljadi recorded her second defensive save of the season, while senior Alex Mann started in goal and recorded five saves in 70 minutes. Ohio State outshot Indiana, 16-4, on the game and earned seven penalty corners to the Hoosiers' one.

In this week's Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, Indiana received six votes.
HOOSIER NOTABLES
• IU's win at Bucknell was its first by way of penalty strokes in program history. The last time the Hoosiers played to strokes was on Sept. 7, 2001, when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Stanford.
• Morgan Fleetwood leads the Hoosiers with three goals on 21 shots, to go along with three assists for nine points.
• Shareyna Chang has also scored three goals on the season, while Kelsey Kiper leads IU with three assists.
• Becky Pany has 44 saves in eight starts this year and a 1.19 goals against average.
• Nine Hoosiers have scored at least one goal for Indiana in nine games.
• Fleetwood has recorded 27 shots in nine games, raising her career total to 116, ranking fifth all-time in the IU record book.
