BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana assistant women's basketball coach Amaka 'Mox' Agugua participated in Indiana University's Take Back the Night on Monday, Oct. 4, at IU's Dunn Meadow.
Since the late 1970's, Take Back the Night events have been held by college and university women's centers, YWCA's, rape crisis centers, community centers, high school student groups, battered women's shelters and other organizations dedicated to helping women achieve safety and empowerment. At Indiana University, the Office of Women's Affairs have collaborated with the Women's Student Association, Middle Way House and other organizations on campus to march in solidarity against sexual assault and to gather and speak out against all forms of violence against women and in favor of increased awareness and victims' rights.
