Hoosiers Preview Big Ten Course at Lady Northern Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers will get their first look at the 2011 Big Ten Championship course this Monday and Tuesday as it takes part in the Lady Northern Invitational being held at the Lake Shore Golf Club in Glencoe, Ill.
The Lake Shore Golf Club will be the site of the 2011 Big Ten Championships, April 22-24 with Northwestern University serving as host.
The field features 10 of 11 Big Ten teams with Michigan State the lone conference squad not participating. Also included in the 12-team field are Iowa State and Texas Tech.
The 54-hole tournament will be begin on Monday Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. ET with a 36-hole day. The tournament concludes with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 12. This is a six-count-four tournament with the four lowest rounds counting toward the team total.
Sophomore Jacqueline Yanch will play in the No. 1 spot after leading the Hoosiers with a 13th-place finish at the William K. Warren Irish Invitational last weekend. Freshman Lindsay Gahm also had a solid outing last weekend and will play in the No. 2 spot.
Coming off her best finish of the season, a tie for 29th at the William K. Warren Irish Invitational, junior Kristtini Cain will play in the third spot. Sophomore Kate Coons will play at No. 4, with Pamela Burneski No. 5 and sophomore Rosie Davies No. 6.
This is the second-to-last tournament of the fall season for Indiana. The Hoosiers wrap up fall play Nov. 1-2 at the Challenge at Onion Creek in Austin, Texas.
