Day One Results from the WMU Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Indiana University women's tennis team began their final competition of the fall semester on Friday, completing day one of the WMU Super Challenge in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Five of seven Hoosiers won their round-one singles match, including sophomore Leslie Hureau who ran her season singles record to 7-0. She did so in dominating fashion as well, crushing DePaul's Selma Salkovic in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Additional IU singles victors were Evgeniya Vertesheva, Katya Zapadalova, Diana Kyllmann and Myriam Sopel.
In doubles play, the Hoosiers split six contests. The doubles tandems of both Hureau/Vertesheva and Garre/Sopel each went 1-1 while Kyllmann and Charlotte Martin teamed up for a victory in their lone match as partners.
Saturday's play starts at 10:30 a.m. with round of doubles and a round of singles at 12:30 p.m. The tournament concludes with a final round of singles on Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
