With the regular season getting underway in less than a week, IUHoosiers.com continues to take a look at each of the newcomers to the IU Softball program. Today we feature freshman Katherine Allert (Lowell, Ind.) and Kelsey Brannon (Bloomington, Ind.).

What is your favorite softball memory to this point?
Making it to State twice.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Never give up, fight till the end.
What is your favorite movie of all time?
Billy Madison
If you could have dinner with 3 other people, who would you choose?
Dr. Phil, Vinny from the TV show "Jersey Shore" and Brady Quinn
If you were not playing softball, what other sport would you like to play in college?
Volleyball would be cool to play.
What was your first thought when you walked into the weight room in the North End Zone for the first time?
"Whoa, look at the field!"
What is your favorite part about the IU Campus?
The buildings make me think I am at Hogwarts.
What is your favorite professional sports team?
Da Bears
If you could go anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?
Europe
What is your favorite class?
Right now it would have to be my first aid and emergency care class.
Do you have any hobbies (reading, collecting things, etc.)?
I have two horses at home that I love to ride when I find time from not playing softball and fishing in my lake.

Beating Bloomington South twice in three days in 8 innings both times; I got my 100th career hit in the second win against South
