• This was the first meeting between Indiana and Northwestern at the Big Ten Tournament. With today's game, Indiana has now played all the other 10 teams at the BTT.
• Verdell Jones III had 66 points vs. Northwestern in three games this year and has scored 86 points while dishing out 31 assists in five career games vs. the Wildcats.
• Jones recorded his 39th career double-digit scoring game and posted his 13th 20-point scoring game of his career.
• Jones had 16 assists to just six turnovers in his last three games.
• Jones went 77-90 (.856) from the free-throw line in the last 12 games of the season.
• The nine rebounds for Derek Elston tied a career high. He also had nine vs. Maryland on Dec. 1, 2009.
• Indiana had six first-half turnovers and just nine in the first 26 minutes of the game.
