BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 28 Indiana University women's tennis team (10-4, 0-1) will play host to the Fighting Illini (5-6, 0-1) on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. EST. Illinois is coming off back-to-back wins while the Hoosiers dropped a pair of contests against top-3 competition last weekend.
This marks the second conference match of the season for both teams, each losing their Big Ten openers against No. 1 Northwestern.

MOVING ON UP
Indiana moved up two slots to No. 28 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's team rankings. Freshman Leslie Hureau's 19-7 singles record during her rookie campaign has earned her a national ranking of No. 101. Hureau has also been stellar on the doubles court thus far, posting a mark of 17-8.
Speaking of doubles, IU's duo of Lindsey Stuckey and Evgeniya Vertesheva are owners of the No. 24 slot in the national doubles rankings after winning 12 of 14 matches.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Illinois Fighting Illini come into Friday's contest winners of their last two matches, picking up wins over TCU and Harvard. Overall, the Fighting Illini own a 5-6 record, yet are still ranked 44th nationally due to their ultra-competitive non conference schedule.
Individually, U of I is led by a pair of nationally-ranked seniors in Rachael White and Megan Fudge. White is slotted No. 94 in the latest ITA singles rankings while Fudge came in at No. 112.
In addition, Fudge can be found in the most recent doubles rankings as well, teaming with redshirt junior Leigh Finnegan to form the 46th-ranked tandem.
