Hoosiers Tie Louisville, 1-1, in First Spring Scrimmage

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team opened their spring season with a 1-1 tie against Louisville at the IU Hockey Field on Saturday, March 27.

Redshirt freshman Morgan Fleetwood netted the Hoosiers lone goal at the 27:04 mark in the first half. Freshman Shareyna Chang assisted on the goal. The Cardinals knotted the score at the 66:04 mark, which would be the final goal of the game for either team.

Louisville tallied 12 corners to IU's six, and outshot the Hoosiers, 6-4.

Indiana continues spring action on Saturday, April 3, when it competes against Miami (OH), Ohio and Ohio State in the Midwest Spring League Tournament in Oxford, Ohio.
