Lightning Puts End to Match with Akron

Unable to complete the contest with Akron, the Hoosiers now turn their attention to the U-20 Mexican National Team on Tuesday night.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Indiana men's soccer team's spring match against the University of Akron Zips came to an early end Saturday night as lightning forced the match to be canceled. The Zips were leading at the time thanks to a goal from Thomas Schmitt in the fourth minute.

The Hoosiers are 1-0-3 on the spring and now turn to their final match against the U-20 Mexican National Team on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium. The Mexican youth nationals fell 2-1 to Notre Dame Friday night in South Bend.
