How did you get started in the sport of volleyball?
"I got started in volleyball sometime after my brother, who is 13 years older, first picked up the sport when he was a junior in high school."
What about the IU Volleyball program made you want to come to Bloomington?
"The reputation IU has in sports, the lovely city of Bloomington, and the whole feel you get when you're here. It's a welcoming, warm feeling. IU is a place that has a large 'wow' factor to it."
What is your favorite professional sports team and why?
"Sisley Treviso because they have had some of the best men's volleyball players in the history of the sport. They are also one of the premier Italian Pro teams recognized throughout Europe."
Favorite place to eat in Bloomington?
"There's no way anyone can answer that with just one place. That's unfair. I love Mother Bear's pizza, Dagwood's sandwichs, Uptown, Upland, and finally since I have a little Greek in me, the Trojan Horse."
What is your fondest memory of playing volleyball at Hawaii?
"Beating UCLA in the first round of the tournament my senior year. It was my first sell-out home match and also was the first time in school history that Hawaii beat UCLA in the tourney,, and first time UCLA had ever been beaten in the first round of tournament."
What's something people might be surprised to know about you?
"I'm not sure, I'm not very exciting..."
Your proudest coaching moment?
"My first year as head coach winning the Region 18 tournament and advancing to the NJCAA Nationals."
Which celebrity to people say you look like?
"Sean Penn playing Spicoli from the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High."
Favorite part of the Bloomington campus?
"I haven't seen enough of campus to really give a good, honest answer, probably Old Crescent. A lot of history, while being very serene."
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you?
"Tahiti. I would love to go see some surfers take on Teahupo."
