Five Hoosiers Earn All-Division Honors

The No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team landed five players on the CWPA All-Western Division teams, announced on Friday evening at the CWPA Eastern Championship awards banquet. Jakie Köhli earned a spot on the All-Western Division First Team, while Kara Butler, Nicole Redder, Lauren Wyckoff, and Cassie Wyckoff were named to the All-Western Division Second Team.
Köhli, a sophomore, led the Hoosiers in scoring during the 2010 season with a single-season school record of 78. She also collected a team-high 71 steals and racked up 27 assists. Köhli has picked up a pair of Western Division Player of the Week honors this season, as well as two Defensive Player of the Week awards. She was also the 2009 Western Division Rookie of the Year and a member of the 2009 All-Division Second Team.
Butler, a junior, has had a productive year at the center position for the Hoosiers, recording 25 goals, 17 assists, and 26 steals. She has also drawn 46 exclusions this season. Butler backed up her selection with a career-high four goals in the opening round at the Eastern Championship in the win against Brown.
Redder has been a consistent scorer and defensive stopper for the Hoosiers during the 2010 season. She has scored 49 goals in her junior campaign, including 13 multi-goal performances, to go along with 26 assists and 51 steals. Redder was also named the March 15 Western Division Player of the Week. It marks the second consecutive year that Redder has been named to the All-Western Division Second Team.
Lauren Wyckoff has filled the stat sheet in more ways than one during her junior season. She has team-highs of 41 assists and 61 earned exclusions, as well as 40 goals and 26 steals. Wyckoff was named the March 29 Western Division Player of the Week. She has 14 games that included at least two assists.
Cassie Wyckoff has been a force at the goalkeeper for the Hoosiers in her sophomore campaign, recording a team-high 195 saves on 506 opposing shot attempts. Wyckoff has also came out of the cage for 28 steals on the season. She has had nine double-digit save games this year and was named the Western Division Defensive Player of the Week on February 15 and March 8.
