KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Indiana University women's tennis team had plenty to do on their first day in Knoxville, Tenn., in town for the first and second rounds of the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
After a nice breakfast in the hotel, the Hoosiers headed over to the Dr. Robert L. Barksdale Tennis Stadium for a late morning practice with temperatures reaching the high 80s.
Following showers and a change of clothes, the team went downtown to enjoy some sandwiches and gelato for lunch. Next up, was a showing of Iron Man 2 at the movie theatre located right next door to the sandwich shop.
The Hoosiers returned to the hotel via trolley after a quick visit to the downtown park. Indiana then concluded the evening by attending the team banquet hosted by the University of Tennessee in a suite of Neyland Stadium (the Vols' 102,037-seat football stadium).
Tennis action starts Friday (May 14) morning at 10 a.m. with Indiana facing the Commodores of Vanderbilt in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
