MARIBOR, Slovenia - Day Four of IU Volleyball's 2010 European Tour saw the Hoosiers in three different countries, waking up in Czech Republic before traveling to Vienna, Austria and Maribor, Slovenia over a 12-hour span.
The Hoosiers were up and at it early, departing their Prague hotel en route for Maribor. But before they reached Slovenia, the travel party took a four-hour pit stop in Vienna, Austria for some time in the beautiful city. The Hoosiers did not allow a few rain showers ruin their time in Vienna, hitting up local shops and eating of some of Austria's traditional foods, including some Wiener Schnitzel.
It was then time for another four-hour bus ride, ending in the trek's third country of the day. Tomorrow (May 24), it's back to work for the Hoosiers as they play their second of six matches on the trip. Indiana will face Nova KBM Branik, a professional team from Maribor in a night match. A team-bonding high-ropes course, originally scheduled for Tuesday, starts the day, however, beginning in the late afternoon.
Indiana will play Nova KBM Branik once again on Tuesday, also participating in a wine-tasting event before getting to some Maribor sightseeing.
