ROME, Italy - Indiana Volleyball has reached it's final destination of the 2010 European Tour, arriving in Rome, Italy in the early afternoon on Friday. While in Rome, the Hoosiers will play two matches against the Italian Junior National team.
The first day in Rome was an orientation of sorts as the tour guide ventured with the travel party early on as they explored the city; ensuring everyone knew how the metro train system and bus routes worked. Once informed on how to move about the city and return to the hotel safely on their own, the travel split up into their various groups to hit up Rome as they pleased.
Before the dispersion though, the entire travel party visited the Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Stairs and Fontana di Trevi.
Match number four of the trip comes Saturday (May 29) at 3:30 p.m. local time versus the Italian Junior National team. Indiana will face the same squad on Sunday as well, also at 3:30 p.m. A trip to the Colosseum is on the docket before Saturday's contest and Vatican City on Sunday.
