BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
Six members of the Indiana University women's water polo team were honored by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches for their academic achievements during the 2010 season as the Women's Water Polo All-Academic Awards were announced on June 30. The awards are determined by GPA on a level based scale that includes Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41), and Excellent (3.40-3.20).
Junior Kelsey Campbell earned Outstanding recognition for the third consecutive season. Juniors Kate Dunn, Nicole Redder, and Lauren Wyckoff, as well as sophomore Megan Jacobs, were each awarded with Superior recognition, while sophomore Hanna Eimstad earned Excellent distinction. The awards mark the third ACWPC honor for Dunn and Redder, and the second for Eimstad and Wyckoff.
"We are very proud of these student-athletes continuing our tradition of academic excellence and competitiveness at the highest level," said Indiana head coach Barry King. "It is no mistake that these excellent students are also significant contributors for us in the pool. They have and will continue to inspire their teammates to achieve excellence in and out of the pool."
