BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Members of the Indiana women's basketball staff took time to visit the Crestmont Complex in Bloomington on Thursday, June 3.
IU Associate Head Coach Jose Mori, assistant coach Amaka Agugua, along with Stephanie Siler, Assistant Athletics Director for Women's Basketball Administration, Scott Dorrell, Video Coordinator and Whitney Thomas, IU's student assistant coach, spent time taking kids through fundamentals of basketball, while playing a couple games.
Crestmont, a public housing complex, held a community event on June 3. The event also involved Fifth Third Bank, which brought its 40-foot eBus to Bloomington. The eBus is outfitted with 14 computers in order to provide financial services and counseling to low and moderate-income people, including basic banking, homeownership, financial literacy, housing credit and default counseling, credit reports with scores, small business information and other social services.
The Bloomington Housing Authority, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, City of Bloomington, Ivy Tech and the South Central Community Action Program also partnered in the event.
