Seven Hoosiers Named to 2010 CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
Seven members of the Indiana University women's water polo team were named to the 2010 Collegiate Water Polo Association Women's Varsity Scholar-Athlete Team for their athletic and academic performance during the 2010 season, announced on July 13 by the CWPA. The team is selected on a level-based GPA scale that includes Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70), and Excellent (3.20-3.40).
Junior Kelsey Campbell led the way, earning Outstanding recognition for the third consecutive season. Juniors Kate Dunn, Nicole Redder, and sophomore Megan Jacobs earned Superior distinction. Sophomores Hanna Eimstad, Jakie Köhli, and junior Lauren Wyckoff each notched Excellent recognition. The honors mark the third appearance on the Scholar-Athlete Team for Campbell, Dunn and Redder, as well as the second for Eimstad, Jacobs, Köhli, and Wyckoff.
Overall, 35 varsity athletes earned Outstanding, 60 garnered Superior and 43 received Excellent honors as the totals established a new high for the number of athletes recognized by the Collegiate Water Polo Association.
