Former Swimmer Ken Keim Passes Away

Indiana swimming All-American Ken Keim passed away unexpectedly July 10 in Whitling, N.J.
Keim was a four-year letterwinner (1976-79) for Doc Counsilman at IU, earning All-American accolades in 1977, 1978 and 1979. He was the Big Ten champion in the 500 freestyle in 1978 and went on to earn All-America honors in the 800 free relay (9th) and 400 free relay (14th) at the NCAA Championships that year. In 1977 he earned All-America honors as part of the 800 free (7th) and 400 free relays (8th). He also earned a pair of All-America honors in the same events in 1979.
