MONCTON, Canada - Freshman Kelsie Ahbe finished off a remarkable freshman campaign with a seventh-place finish at the IAAF Junior World Championships. The pole vaulter tied with fellow American Shade Weygandt for the seventh spot.
Ahbe cleared 3.95m (12-11.5), which proved to be the sixth-place height. She tied with Weygandt on the number of misses. The Uniontown, Ohio native finished just ten centimeters out of the top four at her first world championship meet.
