Former Hoosier Nochta Wins Ohio State Golf Amateur

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio - Former Hoosier golfer Laura Nochta was crowned the 2010 Ohio State Women's Golf Association's Amateur Champion this past weekend at the Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Nochta defeated Alexandra Casi 3 and 2 on the 34th hole of match play. The No. 9 qualifier, Nochta trailed until the 24th hole when she went 1-up on Casi, who was the No. 2 qualifier. Nochta sank a short putt on the No. 16 hole for the title.
