BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team continues to be force in the Bloomington Community, volunteering at events and with organizations all over Monroe County.
On Sept. 9, the Hoosiers visited Golden Living Center Nursing Home. IU head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and team also helped out in their annual role of presenting trophies to the winners at Hoosiers Outrun Cancer on Sept. 18, 2010 at Memorial Stadium.
The event is a 5K run/walk, a one-mile family walk and a one-mile competitive kids' run. The Hoosiers Outrun Cancer event is the main source of funding for the Olcott Center for Cancer Education at Bloomington Hospital.
