Hoosiers Visit No. 15 Penn State and Bucknell This Weekend

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
No. 15 Penn State enters Friday's game with a 5-2 record, winning four-straight since Sept. 12. PSU is led by Amy Kelley with six goals on 35 shots and two assists for 14 points.
Bucknell enters Sunday's game 2-5. The Bison are led by Kelly Bruvik and Morgan Kauffman, each of which have three goals on 14 shots and two assists for eight points.
BACK HOME
Seven Hoosiers hail from the state of Pennsylvania. Corey Brautigam (Landisville), Brooke Borneman (Coopersburg), Gaby Olshemski (Shaverton), Maggie Olson (Springfield), Morgan Fleetwood (Freeburg), Alex Mann (Telford) and Becky Pany (Allentown) are all from the Keystone State.
LAST TIME
Penn State leads the all-time series with IU, 9-3., however the Hoosiers won both meetings in 2009. On Oct. 23, IU defeated the Nittany Lions, 4-1, in Bloomington, before knocking them out of the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament with a 3-1 victory in East Lansing, Mich. The Hoosiers last win against Penn State in State College was on Oct. 29, 2006, when IU won, 1-0. The Hoosiers and Bucknell have met twice in the all-time series, each winning a game. In the last meeting, Indiana won, 3-2, on Oct. 3, 2004.
HOOSIERS SWEEP MIAMI AND MISSOURI STATE
The Indiana field hockey team recorded a 2-1 win at Miami (Ohio), giving the RedHawks their first loss of the season. Morgan Fleetwood tallied her second goal of the season at 23:09 in the first half to give the Hoosiers (3-2) a 1-0 lead, and Shareyna Chang scored her second goal of the season at the 67:19 mark to break a 1-1 tie and seal the 2-1 win for IU. Fleetwood tallied two shots and one goal on the game. Kristy McFadden recorded two shots, one on goal, and Borneman also registered two shots to go along with her assist. Chang recorded her one goal on one shot. Becky Pany played all 70 minutes in goal and tallied two saves. Miami outshot Indiana, 11-10, however, the Hoosiers earned seven penalty corners to the RedHawks' six.
The Hoosiers scored three goals in the first half and netted a fourth goal in the second half to power past Missouri State with a 4-1 win on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the IU Hockey Field in Bloomington. Brenna Moeljadi led IU with three shots, all on goal, with one goal and one assist. Fleetwood tallied two shots, both on goal, with one goal, while Corey Brautigam and Chang each recorded one shot on goal, both of which resulted in a goal. Pany played all 70 minutes in the net and registered five saves. Indiana outshot Missouri State, 14-9, including an 11-3 advantage in the first half. The Hoosiers also earned nine penalty corners to the Bears' five.

In this week's Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, Indiana received 28 votes.
HOOSIER NOTABLES
• Morgan Fleetwood leads the Hoosiers with three goals on 19 shots, to go along with two assists for eight points.
• Shareyna Chang has also scored three goals on the season, while Kelsey Kiper leads IU with three assists.
• Becky Pany has 26 saves in six starts this year and a 1.33 goals against average.
• Eight Hoosiers have scored at least one goal for Indiana in six games.
• Fleetwood has recorded 19 shots in six games, raising her career total to 109, ranking fifth all-time in the IU record book.
