Hoosiers Open Fall Slate with 4-1 Win Over IUPUI

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana softball team got the fall season underway on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over IUPUI at the IU Softball Field. Sophomore Samantha Heyman had two hits and two RBI in the win. Freshman Shelby Gogreve had an RBI single in the fifth inning to extend the IU lead.
Senior Sara Olson started in the circle and gave up one run on four hits through five innings to pick up the win. Jessica Dobson came on and pitched two perfect innings to preserve the win.
