Candler Named to USYSA Select Girls U-19 Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -

Becca Candler, who just completed her freshman season with the Hoosiers, has been selected to play for the United State Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) Select Girls U-19 team this summer in Europe. The team will make stops in Belgium, Germany and Holland on the trip that runs from June 29 through July 7.

While in Germany, the team will get the opportunity to watch a pair of FIFA Women's World Cup matches - one of which is expected to feature the United States Women's Team. The team play two matches against local club teams in addition to enjoying sightseeing tours of cities like Dusseldorf, Cologne, Heidelberg, the Rhine River and more.

Candler, a native of Medina, Ohio, was selected for the team after competing in an event in Florid over the holidays. She will be joined on the team some of the best women's soccer players under the age of 19 in the United States.
