Hoosiers Advance to ITA Kickoff Final

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Hoosiers advanced to the finals of the ITA Kickoff with a 4-3 victory over No. 43 BYU. The Hoosiers sealed the win when Josh MacTaggart took the win at number two singles by injury retirement. Sophomore Isade Juneau helped the Hoosiers win a win over a ranked opponent.
Juneau defeated No. 88 Patrick Kawka in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3. Jeremy Langer and Santiago Gruter took down the 44th-ranked doubles tandem in the country, Thomas Shubert and Spencer Smith by an 8-4 score.
The Hoosiers return to action on on Saturday, as they take on the defending NCAA champion USC Trojans, fresh off a 6-1 victory over San Diego State. For complete coverage of IU men's tennis, stay tuned to IUHoosiers.com.
