Wright Named Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Chase Wright has been selected as the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week after his standout performance at the Firestone Invitational, announced by the Big Ten office on Wednesday. Wright shares the honor with Thomas Pieters of Illinois.

Wright helped lead the Hoosiers to a repeat team title at Firestone, firing a 7-under 209 to finish as runner-up individually. The Muncie, Ind. native opened the tournament with an even-par 72, followed by rounds of 68 and 69.

Wright's 54-hole total marked the second lowest of his career and it was his eighth top-5 finish. The award is Wright's third weekly honor from the Big Ten.
