Hoosiers Play Host to the IU Fall Invitational

THE EVENT
Indiana will play host to a tournament for the second time in as many weeks as they welcome 12 teams to the IU Fall Invitational at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. This is the first time the Hoosiers have played host to a tournament at Crooked Stick since the spring of 2008.
THE FIELD
Joining Indiana in the 13-team field is Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Gonzaga, Illinois, Illinois State, Missouri, Notre Dame Nebraska, Penn State, Toledo, Western Michigan and Wichita State. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Oct. 17 with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start. Tuesday's 18-hole round will also begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Crooked Stick Golf Club course will play at 6,030 yards and a par-72. Crooked Stick has played host to several PGA and LPGA events, including the 1991 PGA Championship, 1993 U.S. Women's Open, 2005 Solheim Cup, 2007 USGA Women's Amateur Championship and the 2009 U.S. Senior Open.

ABOUT THE HOOSIERS
• Indiana is coming off a sixth-place finish at the 12-team Lady Northern Invitational at the Donald Ross Course at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind.
• The Hoosiers posted rounds of 300-300-316.
• Freshman Elizabeth Tong had her best outing of the young season, placing tied for 8th with an 11-over 224 total. She carded a season-best 71 in the first round of play.
• Senior Kristtini Cain recorded her third-straight top-20 finish, placing tied for 18th with a score of 227.
• Junior Rosie Davies tied for 32nd with a score of 231. Davies was steady throughout the tournament with rounds of 78-76-77.
• Junior Pamela Burneski finished tied for 54th (241), while junior Kate Coons tied for 56th, one stroke back with a 242.
• Playing in her first major collegiate tournament, freshman Kamryn Klawitter finished 65th as an individual with a score of 244.
