WEEKEND INFO
No. 18 Indiana will take on No. 13 Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. ET in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series with the Hoosiers, 10-2. IU has won the last two meetings.
BACK ON THE ROAD
In its first of four final games of the season, No. 18 Indiana travels to Iowa City to take on No. 13 Iowa at 2 p.m. ET on Grant Field. The Hoosiers final four contests of the year will all be away from Bloomington. Following the trip to Iowa, IU will visit Louisville for a game against Providence on Oct. 22 before taking on the Cardinals on Oct. 23, and will close the regular season at Michigan on Oct. 28 before heading to State College for the 2011 Big Ten Tournament.
SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
Iowa comes into Saturday with a 10-3 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the Big Ten, with wins over Ohio State (2-1) and Michigan State (2-0) and losses to Penn State (0-3) and Michigan (0-2). The Hawkeyes are led by Kim Scraper with 16 goals for a 33 points in 13 games. IU head coach Amy Robertson served as an assistant coach at Iowa from 1989-91.
IU SPLITS FINAL HOME WEEKEND
Indiana split its final home weekend, falling to No. 6 Penn State, 6-2, before topping Michigan State, 4-2. Morgan Fleetwood and Danielle McNally tallied the two goals against the Nittany Lions, while Brenna Moeljadi, Fleetwood and Jaclyn Zamudio (2) scored IU's four goals against the Spartans.
HOOSIERS IN THE POLLS
Indiana enters this week's Kookaburra/NFHCA Coaches' Poll ranked No. 18 after splitting last weekend's games between No. 6 Penn State and Michigan State. The Hoosiers also show up at No. 16 in this week's womensfieldhockey.com poll.
RANKING THE B1G
All seven Big Ten teams are among the top 40 in this week's NCAA RPI report, with Indiana ranking No. 14. Penn State ranks seventh, Ohio State ranks 12th, Northwestern ranks 17th, Michigan ranks 18th, Iowa ranks 27th and Michigan State ranks 36th.
100 AND COUNTING
Head coach Amy Robertson tallied her 100th career win as the Hoosiers beat Ball State, 4-0, on Saturday, Sept. 3. In her 12th season at Indiana, Robertson owns a 105-110 mark.
