BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head Coach Tracy Smith will be hosting the 2011 Indiana Baseball Holiday Academy from Dec. 27-29. Some changes have been made to previous years' format, see below for the available sessions this year.
Youth Skills Camp (Ages 5-12)
Skill development for all aspects of the game with a focus on offensive and defensive technique.
Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 28
9 am-12:30 pm • Cost: $110
Advanced "Targeted" Skills Camp (Ages 13-18)
Players will choose one of two areas of focus: either pitcher/catcher (1:30-3 pm)
or hitting/infield/outfield (3-4:40 pm).
Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 28
1:30-3 pm/3-4:30 pm • Cost: $75 per session; $125 for both
College Prospect Clinic (Ages 16-18)
High-level quality instruction along with a pro-syle workout and evaluation by the
Indiana Baseball coaching staff.
Thursday, Dec. 29
1-8 pm • Cost: $140
Team Training (All Ages)
Coaches: Here's a chance to watch your team as IU coaches and players put them
through a college style practice. Let us help you match players to position, run a
productive practice and further develop skills. The two hour training sessions are
available Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30 pm and 6:30-8 pm. Want
more? Hurry to sign up for your "Team Training" session and add the Game On!
session that follows it. Details below. Two teams per slot, a total of four slots
available each night.
Cost: $25 per player. (Minimum of 10 players and 1 coach, maximum of 15); two
coaches provided plus team's coach(es)
Game On! (All Ages)
It's cold in December. Are you missing baseball? Come to IU's state of the
art indoor practice facility, Mellencamp Pavilion, and get your instructional
Game On! We'll provide batting cages, a turf playing surface, instructional
tips throughout the game, and an umpire. Game On is available Tuesday and
Wednesday evenings from at 8-10 pm; and 9-11 am on Thursday morning.
Coaches should find a team to play and schedule for both teams at the same time
to ensure appropriate competition level. Umpire provided.
Cost: $25 per player (Minimum of 10 players, maximum of 15).
Cage Time (All Ages)
Half-hour sessions; four cages available per session.
8-8:30 pm/8:30-9 pm/11:30 am-12 pm/12-12:30 pm/12:30-1 pm • $45 with a
coach/feedback; $35 bring your own arm
