WEEKEND INFO
No. 19 Indiana (8-5) heads south to take on Providence and Louisville at Trager Stadium in Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 22-23. The Hoosiers battle the Friars on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET and take on the host Cardinals on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
STEPPING OUT OF THE B1G
No. 19 Indiana will take a week off of Big Ten play and travel to Louisville, Ky., to take on Providence on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. and face host Louisville at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 23. The Friars are 4-11 heading into the weekend and are led by Daniella Bernasconi with five goals on the year. The Cardinals are 8-7 overall and are led by Hayley Turner with eight goals and seven assists this season.
IU FALLS AT IOWA
Indiana suffered a 4-2 loss at No. 13 Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 15. Brenna Moeljadi netted both of the Hoosiers' goals in the loss. The Hoosiers got on the board in the second minute of the game as Moeljadi converted a penalty corner, with Katie Griswold and Audra Heilman picking up the assists. With Iowa leading, 2-1, Moeljadi knotted the score at 2-2 in the 49th minute on her second goal of the day on another corner with Heilman picking up another assist. However, the Hawkeyes sealed the win with a pair of goals for the 4-2 victory.
HOOSIERS IN THE POLLS
Indiana enters this week's Kookaburra/NFHCA Coaches' Poll ranked No. 19 after splitting last weekend's game at Iowa. The Hoosiers also show up at No. 19 in this week's womensfieldhockey.com poll.
RANKING THE B1G
All seven Big Ten teams are among the top 40 in this week's NCAA RPI report, with Indiana ranking No. 14. Penn State ranks seventh, Ohio State ranks 12th, Northwestern ranks 17th, Michigan ranks 18th, Iowa ranks 27th and Michigan State ranks 36th.
100 AND COUNTING
Head coach Amy Robertson tallied her 100th career win as the Hoosiers beat Ball State, 4-0, on Saturday, Sept. 3. In her 12th season at Indiana, Robertson owns a 105-111 mark.
