Hoosiers Move to Seventh After Two Rounds at Isleworth

WINDERMERE, Fla. - The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (No. 33 Golfstat, No. 33 Golfweek/Sagarin) moved three positions up the leaderboard to a tie for seventh at the Isleworth Collegiate on Monday after posting a 13-over 301 in the second round. The Hoosiers are tied with No. 16 UCF at 21-over 597 heading into Tuesday's final round.
Isleworth Country Club played difficult on day two with an average score of 76.92. No. 1 Texas remains in the lead at 2-under, followed in the top-3 by No. 32 LSU (+8) and No. 11 North Florida (+11).
Sophomore David Mills is the top Hoosier on the leaderboard after a 5-over 77 in round two. Mills is at 5-over 149 (72-77) for the tournament and is tied for 23rd.
Senior Chase Wright and junior Corey Ziedonis shot the same score for the second straight day, posting 5-over 77s. Both are tied for 31st heading into Tuesday's final round at 6-over 150.
Junior Brant Peaper registered the low IU round of day two, firing a 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 40th at 7-over 151 (78-73). Senior David Erdy improved four shots from his first round score, posting a 2-over 74 and is in 44th. Erdy had four birdies on the day.
The Hoosiers will get underway in the final round on Tuesday, beginning with tee times at 8:00 a.m. ET. IU will be paired with UCF and Florida.
