SETTING THE SCENE
• Both Indiana and Louisville look to get back on the winning track when they meet up this Wednesday in Bloomington.
• The Cardinals have lost two straight, while Indiana suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday, a 2-0 defeat at Wisconsin.
• These teams last met in 2009, a 2-0 victory for the Hoosiers in Bloomington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
• Indiana has won two of the last three meetings and holds a 16-2 lead in the series.
NEWS AND NOTES
• Indiana suffered its first setback of the season on Oct. 2 with a 2-0 loss at Wisconsin.
• It was Indiana's first loss in Madison since 1995 and just the fourth loss in 43 meetings.
• After a scoreless first half, Wisconsin scored what would be the game winner in the 54th minute as Tomislav Zadro put home a shot on a rebound after a header went off the post.
• Indiana had a chance to tie it when sophomore Jacob Bushue was pulled down in the box and a penalty kick was awarded. Sophomore Harrison Petts took the kick but it was saved by UW goalkeeper Max Jentsch.
• The Badgers added an insurance score in the 79th minute.
• Indiana out-shot Wisconsin 13-6, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Hoosiers also had six corner kicks, to four from UW.
• Indiana has five shutouts in nine matches, with Soffner credited with four of the blank sheets. He has a 0.65 GAA in 831:57 minutes of play.
• Purdie continues to lead the Hoosiers in goals (5) and points (12). Freshman Eriq Zavaleta has eight points with three goals and two assists, while Wise is right behind with seven points (3g, 1a).
• Indiana's 17 goals have come from seven different players.
INDIANA IN THE POLLS
• Indiana fell four spots to No. 10 in this week's Soccer America poll and NSCAA top 25.
• The Hoosiers dropped three spots in the College Soccer News top-30, falling to No. 8. IU moves down three spots to No. 8 in the week 6 Top Drawer Soccer Tournament 48.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
• Louisville is 6-3 on the season and is coming off a year where it advanced to the NCAA College Cup title game.
• The Cardinals have dropped two straight with a 1-0 loss at No. 14 Notre Dame and a 1-0 double overtime loss to No. 1 UConn. Their third loss was a 2-1 defeat at No. 2 North Carolina.
• Senior Colin Rolfe, a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy in 2010, leads the team in points with two goals and three assists. UCLA transfer, junior Michael Roman leads the team in goals scored with three.
• Senior goalkeeper Andre Bourdreaux has stared all nine matches and played every minute in goal, allowing six scores in 821 minutes for a 0.66 GAA average. He has 26 saves and five shutouts.
• Head coach Ken Lolla is in his sixth season at Louisville. He is assisted by Mario Sanchez, Jeremy Proud and Simon Bird.
SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana leads the all-time series with Louisville, 16-2.
• Both losses to the Cardinals have come in the last four seasons, a 2-1 overtime loss in 2007 and a 4-0 loss in 2009.
• Indiana has won two of the last three meetings, including a 2-0 victory in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament.
• The Hoosiers have out-scored Louisville 55-9 and did not allow a goal in the series from 1998-2006 (nine meetings). Indiana has shut out the Cardinals in 13 of the 18 meetings.

• The Hoosiers are at or near the top of the standings in several Big Ten statistical categories.
• Alec Purdie is tied for the Big Ten lead in points (12), with Eriq Zavaleta seventh (8) and Blake Wise is tied for eighth (7).
• Purdie also leads the league in points per game (1.33), game-winning goals (3) and goals per game (0.56). He is second in goals scored with five.
• Tommy Meyer is second in assists with four, while A. J. Corrado is tied for third with three. Purdie, Harrison Petts, Chris Estridge and Zavaleta are tied for seventh with two.
• Goalkeeper Luis Soffner leads the Big Ten in save percentage (.850) and is second in goals against average (0.65). He ranks fourth in saves (34) and saves per game (3.78) and is third in shutouts (4) and shutouts per game (0.44).
