As a preview of the 2012 Big Ten Championships, the Indiana women's golf team will play host to the 2011 Lady Northern Invitational, Oct. 10-11 at the Donald Ross Course at the French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind.
The Field
Joining Indiana in the 12-team field is Augusta State, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, UCF and Wisconsin. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Oct. 10 with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start. Tuesday's 18-hole round will also begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.
About the Course
The Donald Ross Course will play at 6,037 yards and a par-71. Originally constructed in 1917 by world-renowned architect Donald Ross, this legendary golf course has been home to many regional and national tournaments, including the 1924 PGA Championship. The course underwent an incredible transformation in collaboration with the Donald Ross Society.

About the Hoosiers
• Indiana is coming off a three-week break, last playing at the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich.
• The Hoosiers finished seventh at the 12-team event with a three-round score of 935.
• Junior Rosie Davies posted her second top-five finish of the young season, placing fourth with a score of 224 (79-68-77).
• Davies picked up her first career victory in the season-opening IU Fall Kickoff with a pair of even-par 72 rounds. Davies was named the Big Ten golfer of the week for her efforts.
• Senior Kristtini Cain tied for second at the IU Fall Kickoff and tied for 18th at the Mary Fossum Invitational.
• Cain was one of three Hoosiers to finish in the top 15 at the Lady Northern Invitational in 2010, finishing tied for 15th at the Lake Shore Golf Club in Glencoe, Ill.
• Junior Kate Coons also placed tied for 15th. Coons finished 44th at the Mary Fossum Invitational and tied for ninth at the IU Fall Kickoff.
• This will be the first road trip for freshman Kamryn Klawitter. In her first collegiate event she placed tied for 31st at the IU Fall Kickoff.
