HOOSIER TRIFECTA
The Hoosiers swept the CWPA weekly awards following the Stanford Invitational, as Lauren Wyckoff earned Player of the Week honors, Cassie Wyckoff grabbed Defensive Player of the Week, and Shae Fournier notched her second Rookie of the Week honor of the 2011 season.
FLASHBACK
The Hoosiers scored in double-figures 13 times during the 2010 season and three of those occasions were against the teams they face at The Rodeo. Indiana defeated Pacific, 10-9, in a thrilling overtime contest in 2010 led by Jakie Köhli's four goals and four steals. The Hoosiers also defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 15-4, and Santa Clara, 13-9, during March of last season.
HOT HALF
Jakie Köhli helped key the victory at UC Davis with five goals, each coming in the second half and overtime period. The Indiana single-game scoring record is six, which Köhli tied in February 2010 against Sonoma State. The Burnaby, B.C. native has now scored five or more goals three times during her Hoosier career.
Köhli scored her 120th career goal later in the weekend against USC, which put her in a tie for 10th on the IU career scoring list. Nicole Redder is seventh on that list with 132 goals and three behind Maggie Hannon for the sixth spot.
SAVES ALL AROUND
Goalkeeper Cassie Wyckoff's 83 saves this season is fourth in the nation among teams entering statistics into the NCAA Water Polo Statistics website and second in the CWPA to Hartwick's Jessica Dorman (104). Wyckoff has also registered five assists and 10 steals during her junior campaign.
TOUGH TESTS
Indiana has gone head-to-head with five of the top-six teams in the country through nine games this season. The Hoosiers have a 2-7 overall record and have yet to lose to a team outside of the nation's top-13.
