BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - CollegeBaseballInsider.com polled nine of the Big Ten's ten head coaches this week(one did not respond) to preview the 2011 season and find out some preseason conference superlatives.
Indiana's Alex Dickerson had a healthy showing in the coaches' survey. Last season's Big Ten Triple Crown winner pulled off another trifecta as a unanimous decision for the `Best Pure Hitter,' `Biggest Power Threat' and `Hitter You'd Least Want to Face." He also shared the top spot for `Toughest to Strike Out.'
Right behind Dickerson in the `Best Pure Hitter' category was Hoosier first baseman Jerrud Sabourin, coming in at second place. Drew Leininger got some love as well, being named one of the `Top Three Starting Pitchers.'
