No. 13 Hoosiers Take Momentum into Lancer Invite

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team heads to Riverside, Calif. for the Lancer Invite, hosted by Cal Baptist on March 17-18. The Hoosiers (10-9) head to the event after a standout performance at the Aztec Invitational last weekend, in which the Cream and Crimson defeated two ranked teams on their way to a 3-1 finish.
Indiana opened the weekend in San Diego, Calif. with a down to the wire 3-2 loss to No. 4 Hawai'i and followed it up with an 11-2 win over Cal State Bakersfield the next day. On Sunday, the Hoosiers knocked off No. 9 San Diego State, 4-3, and No. 18 UC San Diego, 9-4.

WEEKLY HONORS
Freshman Shae Fournier earned her second CWPA Western Division Co-Player of the Week honor and fourth Rookie of the Week award following her performance at the Aztec Invitational. Fournier recorded totals through four-games of eight goals, two assists, seven steals, six field blocks, and three earned exclusions.
Junior Cassie Wyckoff notched her third Western Division Defensive Player of the Week award on 2011 after a dominant weekend in the cage for the Hoosiers. The Los Altos, Calif. native recorded 31 saves, seven steals, and four assists. She allowed just seven goals in 124 minutes of action.
SUPER START - FANTASTIC FINISH
Shae Fournier scored the first two goals during the Hoosiers' victory over No. 9 SDSU, notching one in both the first and second quarters. She also recorded three steals and three field blocks.
Lauren Wyckoff put together a fourth quarter to remember in the win, posting two goals in the final 2:02 of the contest, including a bomb from 10-meters with four seconds remaining to lift Indiana to the win.
