LAREDO, Texas -
The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (No. 28 Golfweek-Sagarin/No. 34 Golfstat) heads to Laredo, Texas for the 2011 Border Olympics on March 25-26. The Hoosiers are among a field of 19 squads in the event, which features four teams ranked in the top-40 of the latest Golfweek-Sagarin rankings.

THE VENUE
The Border Olympics is played at the Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas. The course is a 7,125 yard, par-72 layout.
THE FIELD
Indiana will be joined in the field by Air Force, Arkansas, Baylor, Lamar, Liberty, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Rice, Texas State, Toledo, UT Arlington, UTSA, Washington State, and Wichita State. Texas State won the event in 2010 with a score of 876.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers competed at the National Invitational Tournament on March 21-22 in Tucson, Ariz. Indiana finished tied for fourth in the event after posting a final round 2-over 290. David Erdy led the way for the Hoosiers, finishing tied for eighth. Brant Peaper (T-17th) and David Mills (T-23rd) each recorded top-25 finishes.
CONSISTENCY
David Erdy has exhibited a model of consistency during his junior season, finishing in the top-10 during his past five stroke-play events. The Boonville, Ind. native has tied for eighth in each of his last three events. He leads the squad with a 72.62 stroke average.
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
Freshman David Mills has wasted little time getting acclimated to the collegiate game, recording five top-25 finishes in his debut campaign. Mills has posted scores of 75 or less during 19 of 21 rounds, while registering a 73.33 average.
