Wyckoff Named CWPA Western Division Co-Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Lauren Wyckoff collected her third CWPA Western Division Player of the Week honor of the 2011 season after leading the Hoosiers to a 4-1 record during last weekend's trip to Pennsylvania, the conference office announced on Wednesday. She shares the award with Kiki Golden of Michigan.
During the five-game slate, Wyckoff recorded totals of nine goals, eight assists, six steals, and four earned exclusions. The eight assists moved her into third on the Indiana all-time list with 127 for her career.
The Los Altos, Calif. native opened the trip by dishing out an assist and earning a kick-out in a 15-4 win at Gannon. She followed it up with two goals, a career-high-tying four assists, and a steal in a 17-4 win over Mercyhurst.
Wyckoff continued to scorch the nets at the Bison Invitational, scoring three goals to begin the tournament in a 16-7 win against tournament host Bucknell. She also registered one assist, an earned exclusion, and an earned five-meter penalty against the Bison.
In an 8-5 loss to No. 14 Hartwick, Wyckoff had a goal and an assist. She then wrapped up the weekend with a three-goal effort in a 9-7 win against Maryland, while also notching two assists, a career-high-tying four steals, and an earned exclusion.
Wyckoff has season totals of 41 goals, 30 assists, 32 steals, and a team-best 53 earned kick-outs. She has recorded 13 multi-goal games, as well as nine contests with at least two assists during her senior campaign.
