BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head football coach Kevin Wilson announced Monday that long snapper Matt Dooley has signed to play for the Hoosiers this fall.
The 6-4, 250-pound Dooley graduated from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Christian Academy in May of 2010 and is currently enrolled at Paradise Valley (Ariz.) Community College. Dooley earned first team all-state honors from the Arizona Republic as a long snapper and also played tight end and defensive end.
A three-year football and two-year basketball letterwinner, Dooley is the first student-athlete from Scottsdale Christian Academy to receive a FBS football scholarship. The son of John and Christina Dooley was born on Feb. 24, 1993, and intends to study history.
